For 8 Serving(s)

Rub

  • 2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
  • 1½ teaspoon(s) chili powder
  • 1½ teaspoon(s) paprika (smoked or regular)
  • 1 teaspoon(s) kosher or sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon(s) black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
  • 4 -5 pound(s) pork back ribs
  • 1 can of beer

Barbecue Sauce

  • 1 cup(s) ketchup
  • ½ cup(s) packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup(s) soy sauce
  • ¼ cup(s) apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup(s) hoisin sauce
  • 2 teaspoon(s) minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon(s) powdered ginger

Saucy Barbecued Ribs II Directions

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Combine brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and cayenne in a small bowl.

Place ribs in large roasting pan or casserole dish, and coat both sides with rub. Pour beer in bottom of dish. Cook in oven for 2 hours. Remove from oven and cover.

Meanwhile, prepare barbecue sauce: mix together all ingredients in small saucepan. Let it simmer, uncovered for about 20 minutes or until it thickens.

Heat barbecue to 325 - 350ºF. Cut cooked ribs into portions and place them on the BBQ. Brush with sauce, let them cook for about 4 minutes, turn and reapply sauce. Cook for 4 additional minutes and remove from BBQ.

Use any remaining sauce for dipping.

Enjoy!
